El Ministerio Hispano fue establecido bajo el liderazgo del Padre Mark Zoghby y ante las necesidades espirituales de una siempre creciente comunidad hispana en el area. Con un padre que venia desde Mobile, a las 7:00 de la manana, un Miercoles de Ceniza iniciamos nuestro ministerio en la Capilla. Como el grupo fue creciendo y la asistencia era cada dia mayor; el Padre Fulton de Nuestra Senora del Golfo en Gulf Shores, nos ofrecio el salon communal, con un horario mas conveniente para los feligreces y para el padre que viajaba desde Mobile. Despues de terminada la construccion de la nueva iglesia de Santa Margarita de Escocia, el Padre Zaghby dono la Antigua iglesia y gustoso le dio la bienevenida a toda la comunidad. Actualmente, hay misa oficiada por el todos los domingos al medio dia. Por tal motivo y debido a las facilidades con que contamos en Foley, dirigimos a los feligreses que nos consultan a Santa Margarita de Escocia en Foley, 251 943 4009. |

The Hispanic Ministry was established under the leadership of Father Zoghby in response to the spiritual needs of a growing Hispanic community in the area. With mass as early as 7:00 am and a priest coming from Mobile, on Ash Wednesday 2003, we started our ministry in the chapel. As the ministry continued to grow and the attendance each day was larger, it was clear that the parishioners needed a larger place of worship; for that reason Father Fulton at Our Lady of The Gulf offered the Parish Hall in Gulf Shores. This was at a better time, 9:00 am, which was convenient for the parishioners and the father who was traveling from Mobile. From there, after the culmination of Saint Margaret of Scotland’s new church in Foley, Father Zaghby gladly welcomed the entire community and donated the old church to them. There is now Mass every Sunday at noon. Because in Orange Beach we do not have a big Hispanic group and Saint Margaret of Scotland is capable of accommodating them, we direct those who contact us to Saint Margaret of Scotland in Foley.
